Wife's Refusal to Work Met With Imputation of Income and Substantial Reduction in Spousal Support
Wife claimed that she could not return back to work based on her argument that her at home employment required special living arrangements. The court found that Wife was voluntarily refusing to return back to work and imputed (treated) her as though she was working and earning over $3,000 per month. This greatly reduced her eligibility for spousal support. Attorney Stephen Rocha's legal argument and interpretation of facts to the court weighed heavily in the court decision to impute income on Wife.
