'Til Court Do Us Part is a divorce education program for those contemplating or are already involved in a divorce or related family law matter. In this divorce class, we discuss child support and spousal support, child custody and visitation, property characterization and division, and some basic aspects of the divorce process. You will walk out of this divorce class educated like nowhere else about what the divorce process entails and what are the key issues regarding children, support and property in divorce.

Some of the questions that will be answered are:
• How do courts determine who gets custody of children?
• What if I want to move away with the children?
• What is child support based on?
• How long do I need to pay spousal support?
• If my spouse is hiding income, what can I do to find out?
• If I bought my house prior to marriage,
does my spouse have any interest in it?
• Is my spouse entitled to any portion of my retirement, and if any, how much?
• What is the soonest I can get a divorce?
• What should I do to prepare for a divorce?

Please note that the divorce class is not a substitute for an attorney, but this divorce education program provides the participant with useful general rules under California Family Law. In the brief time of this program, one can only hope to at least put the participant on notice as to areas of family law that may be of concern to the participant. Not only will you get answers to questions you already have, but you will learn what questions to ask.

NEXT CLASS DATE:

5:30 pm to 7:30 p.m. on March 22, 2010
